Touring keyboard programmer for Peter Gabriel
I have been using Peak since Peak 3 in 2002 and have not turned back. I love it's ease of use, the flexible and elegant interface, and most importantly the final result! I record and process a lot of my own samples for keyboards and software synthesizers, and I use Peak Pro for a great deal of the waveform editing and noise reduction. The results I get out of Peak provide very clean sounds with low-noise that I can program into full keyboard setups.
This is particularly great in live situations where the keyboards are very loud and the quality of the sound is extremely important. For live stereo recordings and for multi-tracked recordings, I always run my music files through Peak and the Master Perfection Suite of audio plugins. This complete package provides everything I need, and I don't need to use anything in addition. Whether it's a demo or a mastered product, my music's final residence is always in Peak!
I also record every rehearsal and live gig I'm involved with, and always use Peak to master the stereo recordings for references for all the musicians involved. I have saved and restored older files with SoundSoap too! There are a lot of tools to use out there, but I always gravitate to the Bias-line of products, because I know it'll be quick, easy, and sound great. Plus, exporting and compressing files into iTunes playlists is brilliant!!
Graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Production and Engineering, Jeff has worked as a Soundware Engineer for Kurzweil Music Systems, ILIO, and many other hardware and software sound design companies, and as a keyboard programmer/technician for Peter Gabriel on all live tours since 2002. He also has taught music technology at UMASS Lowell. As a drummer, he has played live for over 2 dozen Boston-based bands, and recorded with many of them over the last decade. He also works as a session drummer, owns and operates his own home recording studio where he records and mixes projects for singer/songwriters, and has composed for film and TV.
